BSF Scholarship Guidelines
Purpose:
The Let's Dance! scholarship program is designed to give low income/disadvantaged children an opportunity to participate in an arts program that promotes fitness, self-esteem, self-confidence and discipline through dance education. Students will learn dance techniques while discovering an appreciation of the arts and dance in the community. Scholarships are available for the following,
Classes:
Ballet,Tap,Jazz, Hip Hop, Drama,& Music.
Eligibility:
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must meet 3 or more of the following qualifications and income guidelines. All applicants must submit a completed scholarship application form and proof of financial status.
1.Child must be Ages 2.5-18 yrs old, (Male or Female)
2. Must be a Bergen, Passaic and Essex county resident for at least one school year.
(Also open to Flatbush & Bedstuy Brooklyn NY.
3. Are experiencing below average school standards in one or more academic subject.
4.Child of an incarnated parent
5. Demonstrate proficiency and above average interest in dance.
6. Low Income and Single Parent (Low Income as defined by the State of New Jersey and New York)
7. Attend a specialized agency (Example, Bergen County Special Services or Youth Agency)
8.An Adopted or Foster Child and/or Ward of the Court
All participants must agree to attend dance instruction provided at Blossom Sisters Foundation Workshops and Programs or at Satellite Location. All students on scholarship are required to participate in our fundraising activities through-out the dance year. Our fundraising efforts allow us to maintain the dance art program and keep dance in the community.
Application Deadline
Applications can be submitted anytime during the year. Applicants will be selected in August of the upcoming dance year, typically, September of the respective year.
Award Criteria
Blossom Dance Board of Directors reserve the right not to award scholarships and it is in the opinion of the board, if a candidate does not meet the qualifications.

Partial Scholarship
Family Discounts
